Cec came to Celtic from Macclesfield Town, before returning almost immediately to Macc, where he played between 96 and 98. In 1998 he joined Hyde United. Before joining Celtic Cec had a host of clubs, Lancaster City, Chorley, Morecambe, Witton and Winsford, it was from Winsford he first played for Macclesfield on loan in 1991 before joining permanently in 1995. After leaving Celtic, he rejoined Macclesfield, then Hyde and then Maidstone United. On retiring from football he went to work for Liverpool City Council.
