Match Preview :- Tamworth - Saturday September 5th, 2015 (15:00:00)

Celtic's next match is away at Tamworth. Currently, Tamworth are fifth in the table, having had an unbeaten start to the season. In their three home matches this season, they've won two, beating Telford and North Ferriby, and drawn one with Nuneaton Town. They have thirteen points, six points and twelve places ahead of Celtic.

Though they are unbeaten, their last three games have been draws, although two of those were away at Harrogate and Boston. They have scored four goals at home, and conceded two, with a 1-0 clean sheet against North Ferriby. Elliot Durrell and Shane Clarke are leading the early top-scorers list with three each, with Andy Morrell and Ross Dyer both chipping in with a goal each.

Last season they finished just outside the play-offs in seventh on sixty-nine points, twenty-four points and twelve places ahead of Celtic. They won nineteen and drew twelve, and held the league record for the most number of consecutive wins at twelve games between November and January. They scored sixty-six and conceded fifty-seven, with no one player standing head and shoulders in the goal-scorers chart, Dave Hibbert and Shane Clarke just topping it with eight goals each. Twenty different players got on the score sheet for Tamworth last season.

It was honours shared between Celtic and Tamworth last season, with Celtic beating them 3-1 at Bower Fold in September, and then being the final game in their mammoth winning streak losing 4-1 in Tamworth. At home, it was Paul Ennis, Ben McKenna and James Cadman grabbing the goals, with Shane Clarke grabbing a very early goal (first minute), that was cancelled out eight minutes later. Shane Clarke added two more at home, with Reece Styche getting the other two, and a Dominic Calvert-Lewin goal being a consolation for the traveling Celts. Further back through time, we have won at the Lambs ground, a 3-0 win in August 2008, with goal of the season from Terry Barwick sandwiched between Nathan Joynes's and Lee Ellington's goals. We also knocked them out of the FA Trophy back in 1998. Apart from last season's win, Tamworth have only beaten us one other time at their own ground, in 2008, when they won 2-0.

Tamworth's last match was a 1-1 away draw at Boston. In that match, they lined up as:
1. James Belshaw
2. Andy Burns
3. Curtis Strong
4. Connor Taylor
5. Steve Tomassen
6. Dan Preston
7. Elliot Durrell
8. Shane Clarke
9. Ross Dyer
10. Paul Green
11. Danny Newton

Celtic's last match was the 1-0 home defeat to Chorley. In that match we lined up as:
1. Tony McMillan
2. Peter Wylie
3. Aidan Chippendale
4. Matty Hughes
5. Jack Higgins
6. Dale Wright
7. Ben McKenna
8. Bohan Dixon
9. Chris Simm
10. Adam Farrell
11. Danny Wisdom
