Match Preview :- Brackley Town - Saturday November 21st, 2015 (15:00:00)

On Saturday, Celtic travel to Brackley Town looking to get back to winning ways. Brackley are currently in the bottom three in twentieth on fourteen points, seven points and nine places behind Celtic having a game in hand. There will be a match centre for this game.

Brackley have won three games this season, and drawn five. All their wins have come at home, and they have only lost two home games. Additionally, they have lost only twice in the last seven, though they have only won once in the same period. They are now unbeaten in their last three home games, beating Gainsborough most recently 3-2. Prior to that were draws with Hednesford (1-1) and Lowestoft (2-2). In any game that they have failed to score in (four) they have lost them all, as they have had no goalless draws. Their most recent game was a very respectable 2-2 draw away at promotion chasing Fylde, last Saturday. They also held Stockport and Alfreton to draws, proving that they are no push overs. North Ferriby and Boston are the only two teams to beat them at home this season.

Their top scorer this season is Steve Diggin, who has six goals. On average they score 1.2 goals per game (1.7 at home), and concede 1.6 goals per game (1.7 at home); suggesting they play a more open game at home than away. They have never failed to score in a home match, and their only two clean sheets all season both came at home.

Brackley are another of those teams that Celtic just don't seem to beat. In six meetings Brackley have won five, and the other was a 1-1 draw at Bower Fold. The last meeting between the two was a 5-1 hammering by Brackley at Bower Fold, on Valentine's Day. Jamie Allen scored Celtic's second half consolation after Brackley had gone five up by half time. Our last visit to Brackley, last October, saw us lose 1-0, and the preceding two visits finished 3-0 and 4-1 to the hosts. In six games, we have scored three and conceded seventeen.

Brackley's last match was a first round replay match away at Newport County, which Brackley lost 4-1. In that match, Brackley lined up as:
1. Sam Hornby
2. Aidan Hawtin
3. Curtis McDonald
4. Joe Clarke
5. Luke Graham
6. Pablo Mills
7. Eddie Odhiambo
8. Glenn Walker
9. James Akintunde
10. Steve Diggin
11. Richard Batchelor

Celtic's last away win was back at the start of October when we beat Alfreton Town. We have since lost our next two, at Telford and Fylde and need to get back onto winning games. In our last match, the 3-2 home defeat to Corby Town, Celtic lined up as:
1. Tony McMillan
2. Oliver Crowley
3. Aidan Chippendale
4. Matty Hughes
5. Jack Higgins
6. Aaron Chalmers
7. Bohan Dixon
8. Adam Farrell
9. Chris Simm
10. Alex Johnson
11. Alex Mudimu

A gap has started opening up in the table above Celtic, with the play offs now nine points away, so while a win could lift us one place (depending on the Curzon v Chorley game), a loss could also drop us two spots.
