Match Report -
Lamentable second half
By Debbie Taylor

Celtic were the better team for the first half, but a woeful performance in the second half cost us dear.

After Liam Dickinson had twice gone close Jack Ryan connected with a free kick to force Lewis King into a superb save, but there was nothing he could do as Joel Bembo-Leta was on hand to smash in the rebound with twenty minutes on the clock.

Paul Ennis provided a wicked free kick that just cleared the bar, and Tom Buckley forced King into a good stop, before it looked like Boston would get an equaliser form the spot. Joel Bembo-Leta tripping Ricky Miller, who took the spot kick himself, and fired wide of the mark with Jack Cookson going the right way.

All the hard work of the first half was undone as Boston came out in the second half determined to take the points. It was a precession of attacking from the home side that had Celtic on the back foot. Junior Kondau warmed Cookson's hands, with the young keeper looking confident, keeping at bay Carl Peirgianni's header and Ricky Miller. Miller finally beat Cookson only for the bar to deny him, before Cookson was finally beaten by Kondau from an uncleared corner.

Boston went on a scoring spree for the next five minutes, with Spencer Weir-Daly bursting through and slotting Boston's second past Cookson, before Ben Mills converted a superb free kick from just outside the box. United seemed content with a two goal cushion on the run into the final whistle, and added a bit of gloss when Mills repeated his free kick trick to add Boston's fourth just before the final whistle.

Despite a good first half performance, the second half showed Celtic's defensive frailties.
