Celtic are delighted to confirm that experienced defender Stephen O’Halloran has re-signed with Celtic for the 21/22 season as a player/coach.

Steve has been at Celtic since June 2019 and has made 45 appearances for the club after joining from FC United of Manchester. He joined Simon Haworth’s coaching staff last season and he will continue to combine both playing and coaching duties again for the new season.

He started his professional career at Aston Villa coming through the youth system at Villa Park. His career has led him to feature for most notably Southampton, Leeds United, Swansea City, Coventry City, Stockport Country and Salford City with spells at Nuneaton Town and FC United of Manchester.

Steve is a Republic of Ireland international, having made two appearances for his country in 2007 in games against Ecuador and Bolivia.

Steve finished second in the Fans Player of the Year award in 2019/20 and has scored one goal for Celtic, in a 3-2 defeat at home to Basford last year.

Welcome back to Celtic, Steve!
