Author: Taran Dhamrait - Fri 27 Mar 26We’re pleased to share four of our talented U21’s team have signed first team forms.
Archie Mills, Billy Check, Joe Newman and Niall Kirby have all signed forms with the Club’s first team.
The four players join Nat Fontaine in registering with our senior squad.
U21’s Manager Bradley Monks said: “I’m absolutely chuffed and proud that the lads hard work and efforts this season have been recognised. They are in the midst of competing for a historic season and should the first team require their support, I have no doubts that they would do themselves justice and make an impact. It’s a huge statement from the Club to back our youth team like this and in addition to these exceptional players, there are more supremely talented lads coming through banging on the door, so the Club’s youth teams are in great shape.”
Find out more about Archie, Billy, Joe and Niall:
Archie Mills – Defender (18)
Archie is a strong centre-half who has been with the group since he was 16. He embraces physical challenges and now he’s turned 18, has been even more of a commanding presence and been rock solid at the back all season. He is strong, tall, quick, great in the air and composed on the ball.
Billy Check – Defender (23)
Billy also known as ‘Mr Consistent.’ Billy is into his third season with the team and has been unbelievable since joining. He can play full-back, centre-half or in midfield and is super reliable. He is technically superb and sets a great example to the lads and is a real leader within the changing room.
Joe Newman – Midfielder (19)
Joe is a classy central midfielder with superb vision, spotting key passes and coupling this with unbelievable work rate. He can dictate the pace of a game and is a big player for the team.
Niall Kirby – Midfielder (20)
Niall, dubbed the ‘Ginger Messi’ by the rest of the team, is having an unbelievable season and is key to the team’s aims this season. He scores goals that nobody else in the league can and also creates chances galore. He works his socks off and is a real firm favourite with those that watch the team regularly.
Congratulations lads! You’ll be able to see them in action at tonight’s cup final.
