Author: Taran Dhamrait - Tue 5 May 26We’re thrilled to announce Jon Macken and his management team have committed to the Club for the 2026-27 season!
After joining the Club in October 2024, Jon led the Club to a sixth placed finish in the NPL West and the Cheshire Senior Cup Final before this season, leading the Club to third in the NPL West and the Play-Off Final.
This was the Club’s highest points total since 2001 and second best since 1990 as well as the Club’s first appearance in the play-offs since 2008.
Jon has taken charge of 86 Celtic games so far and will now prepare the team for the 2026-27 NPL West season as we look to build on this year’s play-off final place.
Jon said: “I really am delighted that me and my staff have extended our stay with the Club for the new season. We’ve had a really positive year and improved so much on and off the pitch since we first arrived, and although we just fell short this year, we’re determined to continue improving and take the next step next season.
“A huge thank you to the owners, committee, our players and staff for your hard work this season and a massive thanks to the supporters for your magnificent backing. Let’s rest up and get ready to go again in the Summer.”
