Stalybridge Celtic are delighted to announce the signing of experienced central defender Josh Granite who signs with the Club for the 2026-27 season.

Granite arrives at Bower Fold following his spell with Matlock Town and brings with him a wealth of experience, leadership and promotion-winning pedigree from across the non-league pyramid.

The commanding defender has enjoyed successful spells with clubs including Barrow, Ashton United and Buxton, winning promotion on multiple occasions throughout his career while captaining several of his former sides.

Speaking after joining the club, Josh said: “I’m excited and looking forward to meeting the squad in pre-season. When I first spoke to the gaffer, he outlined the club’s ambitions for the upcoming season and it was something I wanted to be a part of.

“The club’s clearly in a good place having come really close to promotion in both of the last two seasons and I look forward to doing my very best for the club in the upcoming season.”
