Chris is widely believed to be the first Asian footballer to play in the Football League, outside of the league, as well as Stalybridge Celtic Chris has played for Denaby United, Matlock Town, Stocksbridge Park Steels, Hyde United, Alfreton and Bradford Park Avenue. After stopping playing, he moved into management and was managing Sheffield FC in 2008.
