On loan from Salford CityJosh started his career at his home town club of Southport, and started scoring goals almost immediately. Goal scoring spells at Burscough and Vauxhall Motors followed before he joined Skelmersdale United in 2012, his goals ensuring Skelmersdale took the Evo-SStik title in 2013. It didn't go unnoticed, and he joined Chorley for the 2013/14 season, and it was his goals over Buxton that put Chorley into the Conference North. Instead of staying with Chorley, Josh joined Salford, and though he got five goals in his first nine games, an injury kept him out of most of the season, with Salford getting promoted anyway. Now back to full fitness, he joins Celtic to help ensure Conference North survival.
