Player Profile - Garry Kharas (18th Jan 2006 - 1st Sep 2006)
Garry joins from neighbours Glossop North End, a team for whom he provided goals for over two seasons. In his first full season he found the net seventeen times - an impressive number, but nothing compared to 2004/05 when he blasted through the highest goal tally for a single player in a single season at Glossop when he bagged forty (40!) goals. Halfway through the 2005/06 season Celtic lured him away despite stiff opposition from another Conference North team, by this point he had already scored eighteen! Born originally in Kaiserlauten he came to Manchester in 1988, playing for a variety of teams in and around the manchester area, including Abbey Hayes and
Dukinfield Town. After mainly starting as a bench player, Garry joined Ashton United after less than a year with Celtic.
