Player Profile - Jan Budtz (14th Aug 2010 - 1st Jun 2012)
Danish born Jan signed from Eastwood Town, but he made his name while playing at Doncaster Rovers after he saved two penalties from Premier League Manchester City in the FA Cup after coming onto replace an injured Andy Warrington in the tie in September 2005. After fracturing his hand, he made fewer and fewer appearances, before eventually leaving to join Hartlepool. Before then, he was signed on loan at Wolves in an emergency loan deal that saw him stand-in as a sub keeper for the Championship club, making an appearance in November 2007 at Sheffield Wednesday. At the start of the 2007/08 season Jan went to Hartlepool and made nearly thirty appearances, but was eventually loaned to Oldham Athletic for whom he made three appearances. He moved into non-league with Eastwood Town in 2009, but left at the end of the season. He started his career with B1909 Odense in Denmark, before joining FC Nordsjaellan in January 2005. After two seasons between the sticks for Celtic, he joins Buxton briefly, before joining Gainsborough Trinity.
